This page is a photographic essay showing images of Australian Robins that are found on the Australian mainland and its islands. Many of the Australian Robins are characterized by brilliant breast colour in either yellow or red. In general Robins are inefficient flycatchers, preferring to take their prey on the ground after spotting it from a predominate perch. Nests are rather small and usually built in the fork of a horizontal dead branch.
Images are taken from around Australia by wildlife photographer, Gary Knight. Many Australian birds are unique and have a beauty of their own.
